Slashing at a titanвЂ™s week point with perfect timing rewards you with a splash of blood across the screen and a satisfying sound effect that just feels good.

However, probably the most impressive aspect of the game, at least as its presented in this demo version, is how visceral everything feels. All these said, Attack on Titan 2: Final BattleвЂs gameplay feels really fun and provides a nice mix of action and strategy. Sadly the demo does not go into these base-building mechanics in too much detail and I stumbled upon them by accident and canвЂ™t report too much on how they actually function. Lastly you can also build up bases across the map that will give you items and restock your supplies. ThereвЂ™s a lot of strategy involved in this mechanic as you are often going to find yourself surrounded by several titans at once and you canвЂ™t simply launch yourself into a battle without planning a proper path of attack or else youвЂ™ll end up as titan food.Д«uilding on these strategic layers you are also able to command a unit of squads (three in the demo) and they can be used to deal a lot of damage to a titan (very helpful for the boss at the end of the demo) and to provide you with buffs. You must target a specific spot on a titan and launch yourself up with your OEM gear, finally attacking right at the perfect moment to deal the most damage possible. The gameplay feels like a mix between a dynasty warriors game and one on one action game. Never having played the original I didnвЂ™t really know what to expect but I have played plenty of Keoi Tecmo and Omega ForceвЂ™s вЂwarriorsвЂ™ style games and thought thatвЂ™s what I was going to get myself into. The demo lasts just one level and sees you as a member of the Scout Regiment defending a settlement from a titan attack. Well with the next title from Keoi Tecmo around the corner I considered myself lucky to see a demo pop up on the Xbox One (itвЂ™s also available on the PlayStation 4) so I downloaded it and now IвЂ™m wondering why I never bothered with these games because Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is shaping up to be a pretty good action title. However despite considering myself a fan of Attack on Titan, I have never taken the time to play any of the games that released for it, despite hearing pretty positive impressions.
